Pineapple smoothie recipes are always popular and the ones that include strawberries are even more so. The following recipe is quick and easy to make. Enjoy it regardless of season as you can make this smoothie with either fresh or frozen fruit (of course, fresh is better)…Try it!
In your favorite smoothie blender mix:
- 1 frozen banana peeled and sliced (TIP: peel and slice the banana BEFORE FREEZING)
- 1 can of pineapple pieces in natural juice, not drained (or fresh of course)
- 2 cups strawberries
- 1 cup low-fat plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
- Ice cubes (optional-and it will depend on the amount frozen fruit you use)
The first ingredients to go into the blender are the undrained pineapples, yogurt and bananas, cover with the blender and let it run for twenty five seconds. Add the strawberries and cover again, repeat the blending process again for 20secs. Then serve.
