Spring brings longer, lazier days-and a lot of us change our eating habits because of the weather.We are grabbing food on the run , planning picnics or cookouts, or tailgating at an evening Little League baseball game. All these an more are a great reason for a pink lemonade smoothie!
A quick Internet search will bring up a whole bunch of juicing recipes and you might even find yourself making lots of ice tea or lemonade. And lemonade is a great ingredient to use for your favorite fruit smoothies. Just like adding a fruit juice, lemonade gives your smoothie a nice texture, good flavor –and depending on how sweet or tart, lemonade can give your favorite fruit smoothie, a good “wake-up kick!”
Here is a pink lemonade smoothie recipe that you will find so easy to make:
In your favorite blender mix:
-1 cup frozen strawberries
-1 large frozen banana (TIP: peel and slice BEFORE FREEZING!)
-1 cup filtered water (I say filtered because where we live the tap water is terrible!)
-1 Juice from one fresh lemon (roughly about two Tbsp.)
-1 Tbsp. Chia seed
Thats it! Everything into the blender at the same time and churn until you get the consistency you prefer. You won’t believe how refreshing this one is.
