Today we have a Strawberry Apple smoothie that is great to make for an afternoon snack or after working out.
In your favorite blender mix:
1 apple, cored and sliced: Use your favorite apple, I used a Fuji (which, by the way, is a hybrid variety first grown in Japan in the 1930s). Nonetheless, they are my favorite but you can use yours!
1 cup of apple juice
1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced (TIP: peel and slice BEFORE FREEZING!)
½ cup of frozen or fresh strawberries
1 tbsp. Chia seed
When you make this smoothie you will end up with a really tasty mix that goes a long way towards giving your engine the recommended daily intake of fruits.
