Strawberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie
“Greek” or strained yogurt is becoming more popular in smoothies and in general because it features a richer, more complex texture than yogurt that hasn’t been strained. The straining process also removes substances such as salts and sugars which results more protein by volume and less sodium. Another benefit for we smoothie lovers is that the consistency of Greek yogurt is tailor made for mixing an almost any type of recipe.
Adding strawberries to this smoothie mix provides a great flavor and additional fruit nutrition.
In your favorite blender mix:
- 1 Cup Greek Nonfat Yogurt (strawberry, if you like)
- 1/3 Cup Strawberry Flavor Sweetened Drink Mix
- 1 Cup fresh or frozen unsweetened strawberries
- 1 tbsp. Chia Seed
- Ice to your taste
Blend everything but the ice first, then add the ice until you get your preferred consistency.
